INTENT: All posts I write are because I am an advocate for safe and ethical access to these powerful catalysts for an inward journey with an ethical and reputable facilitator. I am for safe access by individuals for their own pro-active cognitive enhancement & well-being. Any potential funds raised are for the non-profit - Mind Lumen, to support its work on shining the light on ethics and equity, being an —-seeker focused, independent, unbiased (without provider conflicts of interest), —- audit and accounting watchdog, of the mental health & wellbeing industry, particularly where psychedelic businesses operate.
So many live in pursuit of happiness, believing it to be a permanent state that can be attained, owned, and held onto. But happiness, like sadness, joy, sorrow, is transient. To chase it is to run in circles, forever seeking but never arriving. I have chosen another path—not the pursuit of happiness, but the surrender to bliss.
Bliss is not an endpoint. It is the flow of being fully present in all experiences, allowing emotions to rise and fall like waves, knowing that each one is simply a door opening to a deeper understanding of the self. It is the state of acceptance, of letting go of expectations, and instead choosing to exist in harmony with the unfolding of life.
The Infinite Doors Within
Each experience, each challenge, each emotion is a key. A key to a new doorway. A doorway to a new layer of self-awareness. The INWARD journey of self-discovery is not linear but infinite—there is always another layer, another insight, another piece of ourselves waiting to be known.
As a neurodivergent Indian with ADHC, I’ve had my bouts of anxiety, depression, and have also felt lost where I’ve questioned everything I am and do. I have also overcome them and manage to live a blissful life despite my conditions. A few of my experiences have been worrying, not during, but I can feel them after. Most of them are full of wonder and awe.
I float with the ocean of life, allowing it to carry me where I am meant to go. My grounding is not in being fixed, but in being fluid—authentic to who I am in each moment, acting with integrity so that when I lay my head down at night, I feel no weight of guilt, no stress of unmet expectations. I simply am.
A Catalyst for Awakening
Throughout history, humans have sought ways to access deeper layers of the self—meditation, breath work, fasting, rituals. These methods have their place, and for some, they are enough. But there is another door, one that has been used for centuries by indigenous cultures and, more recently, explored by modern science with astonishing results: psychedelics—especially the classics: psilocybin, LSD, DMT, etc.
Unlike traditional pharmaceutical interventions such as SSRIs, which often numb emotions and require indefinite use, psychedelics work in a completely different way. They don’t suppress; they reveal. They open a gateway into the unconscious, allowing us to confront the parts of ourselves that remain hidden in everyday life. And when used responsibly—or with the guidance of an ethical and reputable facilitator, intention, and proper integration—they can become the most potent, powerful, and efficacious tools for self-discovery available to us.
That said, there is an important distinction to be made between recreational use and an intentional inward journey. Even when taken with intention, recreational experiences—whether in social settings, nature, or with visual stimuli like VR—do not hold the same depth as a true inward journey. The set and setting is critical. While people have had profound experiences in clinical settings, it won’t be as profound as where you feel the most comfortable — that could be in nature or in the comfort of your own place or a neutral place free from your own material reminders. The mind has the extraordinary ability to create its own environment, and the most powerful, revealing, and transformative way to navigate these states is to remove external and artificial distractions entirely. A proper inward journey is done with a blindfold, music, preferably with an ethical and reputable facilitator to take care of you so you can fully surrender, without having to manage or control anything. While VR settings can create artificial scenes, they do not compare to the organic, limitless landscapes that emerge from within. Your mind has the amazing ability to conjure up inventive ways of looking at not only yourself but the world in which you live.
Every provider of care has a built-in conflict of interest, regardless of how well meaning they may be. We do live in a capitalistic system after all. There are many wonderful and humble facilitators with different backgrounds and cultures. There is one for every seeker. They need to be found and elevated. Navigating this process is challenging one particularly when we are not in our best state of mind. It took me 3 years to find one. No one should have to deal with the enormous friction in their navigation process.
You are not choosing a restaurant, you are entrusting your precious mind to someone
Psychedelics are not just a catalyst for addressing mental health challenges—they are also a proactive tool for cognitive improvement, innovation, problem solving, and maintaining your well-being without the stress and pressures of everyday life. Just as we exercise to maintain physical health, we can use psychedelics to stay cognitively fit, expand our awareness, and refine our perception of life. They are not just a remedy but an enhancement—an opportunity to evolve, deepen our understanding of ourselves, and navigate life with greater clarity and emotional resilience.
Living in Flow
To live in flow is to embrace the unknown, to accept that we are constantly evolving. There is no final version of the self, no ultimate truth to uncover—only an endless, beautiful process of discovery. Some doors lead to light, others to shadow, but all are necessary. Without the contrast, there is no depth. Without the sorrow, there is no ecstasy.
Life is not meant to be controlled. It is meant to be experienced. When we surrender to the unfolding of our own becoming, we find something even greater than happiness—we find peace. We find bliss.
Peering Into the Infinite
Imagine walking into a room filled with doors, each leading to a different version of yourself, a forgotten memory, an untapped potential. This is what psychedelics offer—not an escape, but a direct, unfiltered encounter with the deeper currents of your being. They show us the interconnectedness of all things, the patterns we live by, the fears that bind us, and the infinite possibilities we often fail to see.
For many, this journey is nothing short of a rebirth. It can dissolve long-held traumas, shatter false narratives, and reconnect us with a sense of awe and wonder we may have lost somewhere along the way. It is creating infinite versions of ourselves, each one better than the one before. I am on version 3 of myself. But it is not a shortcut, nor a magic pill. It may not happen the first time but it will reveal something that enhances your curiosity even more. It requires courage, readiness, and respect for the process.
The Importance of Readiness
This is not a journey to take lightly, nor one to rush into. The brain—especially the prefrontal cortex, which governs decision-making and impulse control—continues developing until around age 26. Waiting until this stage of maturity ensures a safer and more integrative experience. Psychedelics are powerful tools, and with great power comes great responsibility.
But when approached with intention, they can offer something far beyond what conventional medicine provides—a profound, lasting shift in perspective. Unlike SSRIs, which often require long-term use with terrible side effects, psychedelics—especially in therapeutic, non-clinical or ceremonial settings—can bring about deep healing in just a few carefully facilitated experiences.
Integration: The Key to Transformation
An experience itself is just the beginning. What truly matters is what comes after—the integration of the insights gained. This is where the real work happens, where revelations turn into action, and where fleeting moments of transcendence become lasting change.
A skilled facilitator doesn’t just guide you through the experience; they help you make sense of it afterward, weaving the lessons into your everyday life. Without integration, even the most profound journey can fade into a distant memory. But with the right support, those moments of insight become stepping stones to a blissful, flowing life.
An Invitation: Step Through the Door
If there is one thing I want you to take from this, it is curiosity. Not blind faith, not reckless action, but an open mind—a willingness to ask, “What else is possible?”
This path is not for everyone. But for those who feel the call, for those who seek something beyond the surface level of transactional existence, it may be the most transformative step you ever take.
Instead of seeking the illusion of permanence, step into the ever-expanding awareness of who you are and discover your authentic self. Trust that every moment is an opening, every challenge is a key, and every revelation is a gift leading you closer to your own truth.
Because life is not a finish line. It is an infinite, spiraling journey inward. You are an infinite layered onion. Every peel of a layer, is a door you open to another step toward your own bliss!.
